Chief Operation Officer

We’re partnering with a pioneering biotechnology start-up originating from Shanghai, dedicated to revolutionizing gene testing through innovative chip-based AI technology. The mission is to provide accessible, accurate, and rapid genetic insights to empower individuals and healthcare providers. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Operating Officer / Sales Director to join our leadership team. This person will play a critical role in shaping the strategic direction of the company. You will oversee daily operations, drive sales growth, and ensure that the company's innovative solutions reach the market effectively. Responsibilities

• Develop and implement operational strategies that align with the company’s vision and growth objectives
• Collaborate with the CEO and executive team to define long-term goals and KPIs

• Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in all areas of the business
• Implement best practices in project management, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance

• Lead the sales team to achieve revenue targets and expand market presence
• Expanding on current accounts and identify new business opportunities and partnerships to enhance product distribution and market penetration
• Develop and execute sales strategies tailored to the biotechnology sector and target customer segments

• Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing team, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration

• Develop budgets, forecasts, and financial reports

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business Administration, or a related field;
• Proven experience in a leadership role within the biotechnology or healthcare industry.
• At least 8 years+ experience in sales and business development, with a track record of achieving ambitious sales targets
• In-depth knowledge of gene testing technologies in healthcare is preferred
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate at all levels
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Fluent in English; proficiency in Chinese (Cantonese/Mandarin) is a plus
