Mission
The Commercial Finance Manager plays an important role in managing the region’s financial performance, focusing on profitability, growth, cost contention and risk management.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with the Head of Finance to develop and execute strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with the company's financial goals and objectives.
- Monitor key KPI and provide insights on opportunities to improve margins by analyzing opportunities for cost contention and revenue enhancements in schools.
- Work closely with schools’ Business Managers and the SCP Finance Operations team to ensure an accurate rolling forecast.
- Collaborate with the Business Controlling Manager and the SCP Finance Manager to ensure that business outcomes are aligned to financial targets at all times.
- Assist the Head of Finance in driving the annual Budgeting and 5YP revision process for the region; identify and quantify risks and opportunities.
- Model business cases and carry out sensitivity analysis for existing and future business opportunities.
- Track and monitor data for variance analysis.
- Prepare financial reports, presentations, and dashboards for the Head of Finance’s review and use in executive meetings.
- Collaborate with schools and the finance team to gather and analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide insights to support decision-making.
- Provide project management support for key finance-related initiatives, including cross-functional projects and process improvements.
- Track action items, follow up on deadlines, and ensure timely completion of projects and deliverables.
- Coordinate and facilitate effective communication between central functions, schools, and other stakeholders.
Candidate Profile
- University Degree acquired in reputed university. Valuable MBA or similar post-graduate programme.
- Experience in budgeting and forecasting, with the ability to develop long-term financial plans.
- Strong commercial acumen, with a proven track record of driving revenue growth and improving profitability.
- Meaningful and relevant proven experience of at least 5 years in a similar position; experience in the education sector or a similar industry would be an advantage.
