Pathologist

We are partnering with a Hospital under the National Healthcare Group in Singapore, and they're currently seeking for a few dedicated and skilled Pathologist to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing diseases through the examination of tissue samples, blood, and other bodily fluids, contributing to patient care and treatment plans.

Responsibilities

• Perform histopathological examinations and diagnosis of tissue specimens
• Analyze laboratory results and provide accurate interpretations
• Collaborate with clinicians to discuss pathology findings and implications for patient management
• Conduct autopsies and provide expert opinions on medico-legal cases
• Supervise and mentor junior pathologists, pathology residents, and laboratory staff
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to clinical discussions
• Engage in research activities and clinical trials to advance the field of pathology
• Ensure compliance with laboratory protocols and maintain high standards of quality and safety
• Stay updated with advancements in pathology and related fields

Qualifications

• Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) recognized by the Singapore Medical Council
• Specialist accreditation in Pathology (FRCPath or equivalent)
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant clinical experience in pathology
• Experience in sub-specialties such as surgical pathology, cytopathology, or molecular pathology
• Familiarity with digital pathology and laboratory information systems
• Research experience and publications in reputable journals
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
