Senior Unix Specialist

Job Description

• Engage in the planning, design, and implementation of UNIX/ Linux systems.
• Provide ongoing support for the bank's infrastructure projects.
• Execute system-related tasks to ensure effective and efficient computing for application development and production, including hardware/software installation, evaluation, planning, implementation, maintenance, patching, system monitoring, security compliance reviews, problem resolution, capacity planning, and inventory management.
• Review end-of-support hardware and software, planning for upgrades or replacements.
• Manage technical requests and issues throughout project implementation.

Academic and Professional Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a computer science-related field or equivalent.
• Over 8 years of solid experience with UNIX (AIX/ Solaris) and Linux (Red Hat Linux)
• Experience with VMware, Red Hat Virtualization, SAN Storage, backup solutions, monitoring and security tools, networking, and Windows.
• Proficiency in programming/scripting and task automation tools (e.g., BMC TrueSight, Ansible).
• Support for mid to large-scale project implementations.
• Capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
• A team-oriented individual with excellent communication skills and risk awareness.
• Proficient in both spoken and written English and Chinese.
