About the Role
We are looking for a Finance Leader which masters accounting knowledge and is an experienced Leader in an international environment that will report to the Global Headquarter in Europe and will act as key point of contact for any Finance matter in our local production site. The Head of Accounting TW is responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of the accounting department. The ideal candidate has strong leadership abilities and is not hesitant by leading people without the direct reporting line. The candidate is familiar with company set up’s headquartered outside of Taiwan where certain level of decision making is occurring from.
Responsibilities
- Act as Finance point of contact for the Taiwan Management Team
- Develop and lead the local accounting team by managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing training, and maintaining strong employee relationships
- Coach and mentor the local Finance team with a strong focus on customer needs and collaboration
- Detect and discuss potentials in the business area with the relevant stakeholders to improve performance, efficiency or results
- Provide the Taiwan GM with solid data, key metrics and analyses to support decision making and ad-hoc reporting requests
- Support global process standardization initiatives and local internal controls procedures as required by our company policies and Compliance team
- Support the CFO Organization in specific projects (e.g. legal structural changes, M&A activities, strategic initiatives, etc.)
- Team up with the other Finance team members locally, globally & specifically with the Headquarter Finance functions but also build strong relationships with the local Management
- Support the definition and implementation of a Group wide Finance vision and strategy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master's in business, Accounting, or Finance
- 10+ years accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing
- 15+ years finance leadership in an international environment
- Strong knowledge of local and international GAAP
- Leadership, teamwork, cross function communication and change management skills (important)
- Problem-solving and ability to handle multiple tasks
- Excellent communication and adaptability
- Familiar with SAP S4 Hana and Tagetik (preferred)
- Fluent in English
