Reports to: Taiwan General Manager
Location: Taipei, Taiwan
Our client in this search is a global leading biopharmaceutical company. This critical role is responsible for leading the most important portfolio in Taiwan. The person will develop and lead a strong team, push boundaries to address complex challenges and opportunities, collaborate and inspire across functions, bring new treatments to market, and make critical short and long-term decisions for multiple brands. This role has P&L ownership, oversees all sales and marketing. The BU Head is a core member of Taiwan leadership team and is expected to be an active contributor, helping us to deliver more value to patients and healthcare systems.

Main Responsibilities
- Vision and direction setting: Establish a clear and aspirational vision and strategic roadmap for your business unit, effectively communicating and sharing that vision to gain support and followership.
- Strategic planning: Ensure development and execution of comprehensive brand strategies informed by a deep understanding of patients, customers, the environment, and future trends.
- Operational excellence: Ensure implementation of robust operational plans that increase opportunities, are aligned with strategy, deliver favorable returns, and ensure a positive customer experience.
- Lead and inspire: Lead and coach a high-performing BU, provide ongoing feedback to embed a coaching mindset, cultivate the best culture, and develop key talent.
- Collaborate cross-functionally: Partner with cross-functional teams across Taiwan and the region to develop and implement complex initiatives, advance strategic plans, pressure test current thinking, and collectively help to shape our healthcare ecosystem.
- Sales & marketing excellence: Guide/mentor the Business Unit marketing head and sales managers to strengthen capabilities and grow in role. Develops forecasts, aligns territories, sets targets, ensures robust brand plans, and oversee sales/marketing effectiveness and performance.
- Cultivate the best culture: Cultivate a compliant outcomes-oriented culture, driving accountability and continuous improvement to accelerate patient access to innovative treatments.
- P&L ownership: Oversee and manage your P&L effectively, aligning resource allocation closely with strategic priorities and financial goals. Ensure each dollar invested is maximized for greatest impact.
- External stakeholder engagement: Engage with key external stakeholders, including healthcare providers, medical centers, policy makers, and government institutions, building trust and positioning Company as a committed partner.
- Ethics & Compliance Champion: Ensure ethical behavior and compliance remain central in all decisions and operations, encouraging an inclusive and respectful team environment aligned with company values.
- Degree in Life Science and/or Business Administration, MBA preferred
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in marketing, sales, and operational leadership roles with increasing level of responsibility in pharmaceutical/biotech industry.
- At least 5 years building and leading successful teams. Previous pharmaceutical sales team management experience a plus.
- Strong experience in chronic disease therapy areas
- Fluent, and able to present, in English
- Strong at strategic planning, analytical skill, problem solving, decision making and communication.

- Efficient collaboration and teamwork with internal and external stakeholders
- High standard of ethics and compliance
- Demonstrates a winning mentality and a strong desire to shape the future of healthcare in Taiwan
