Our client is a renowned international company based in Hamburg. The company distributes chemicals and raw materials in 22 countries and is characterized by flat hierarchies, quick decision-making processes, and a family-like corporate culture. Due to a planned succession, we are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager at the earliest opportunity, who will be responsible for the business in Eastern Europe and will drive the company's growth and expansion in close collaboration with the headquarters in Hamburg.
Your responsibilities:
- Responsible for the sales of OLEO-based chemicals in the cosmetics, food, pharmaceutical, and animal feed sectors in Eastern Europe
- Close collaboration with the headquarters in Hamburg and regular travel between the Czech and Hamburg locations
- Building and maintaining long-term customer relationships, especially in Poland and the Czech Republic
- Developing the business in Eastern Europe with a focus on expansion and market growth
- Integration and possible leadership of the existing team in the Czech Republic, with the takeover of administrative processes after onboarding
- Managing trading activities and ensuring profitable business development while considering market volatility
- Close cooperation with the production and purchasing teams to meet customer-specific requirements
Your profile:
- Proven success in the sales of chemicals or related raw materials in Eastern Europe, ideally with experience in the Polish or Czech market
- In-depth understanding of the Eastern European market and the market mechanisms in chemical trading
- Fluent English skills; Polish and/or Czech are advantageous
- Willingness to travel frequently, especially between the Czech Republic and Hamburg
- Excellent communication skills and intercultural competence
- Experience working with ERP systems and an affinity for optimizing administrative processes
- Dynamic and assertive personality, able to stay organized in a volatile market environment
