Confidential Search - we’re seeking a seasoned Chief Operating Officer (COO) for a multinational company in Financial Services. This role will lead the company’s Technology and Business Operations from strategic planning to daily management. Welcome international leaders from Hong Kong and Singapore.

Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the multi-functional teams of Operations, IT, Customer Relationship Management, Security & IT Governance to deliver efficient and effective operations and IT solutions to support the organization’s business and growth requirements.
- Ensure appropriate level of risk management and company’s IT security. Align with internal policies, procedures, governance, and delegations to meet the regulatory and statutory requirements.
- Develop and implement a proper measurement/monitoring system that ensures proper management of activities within the scope of responsibility.
- Review the organization’s current status of services and IT solutions regularly, making sure the company is competitive in the market.
- Build a service culture Taiwan office, aiming at providing high quality and the best in-class services to its partners and customers.
- Lead, participate, and contribute to the special projects or strategic initiatives of the company regionally and/or globally.
- Train, coach, and develop the teams in Taiwan. Enhance their abilities to lead, manage, plan and develop their teams.
- Effective and efficient Budget Planning and Expense/Cost Control. Review if the resources allocated/spent are put in the right places and align well with the company’s business strategies and goals.
- Define the organization’s short-term and long-term objectives and orientations for its Technology and business operations/processes/procedures.
Requirements:
- 15+ years of working experience in the Insurance/Financial Services industry with a progressive management responsibility of developing teams, sales/business operations excellence, IT & Technology initiatives, and regional/global projects.
- 10 years in a people managerial position, ideally is/was managing multi-functional teams with >200 staff/members in Taiwan or Asia Pacific.
- Some experience with Information Technology (IT) management, and/or Application Development, and/or Digital Transformation will be an advantage.
- Good at strategic planning, project management and best practice review. Strong leadership; people development and teamwork skills.
- Budget management skills.
- Good oral and written communication skills for both English and Mandarin Chinese.
