Director IT & Technology, North Asia

Confidential search – we’re seeking a seasoned Director of IT & Technology, North Asia Region for a multinational company in Advertising, Media, & Consulting business. The purpose of this role is shaping the company’s technology strategies, driving business transformation, and overseeing enterprise technology systems across the North Asia market. Key tasks include collaborating with senior stakeholders to optimize technology use, implementing digital, data, and automation solutions to enhance productivity, ensuring security compliance, and supporting client technology solutions. Additionally, the role involves identifying the regional specific needs, providing guidance to local technology teams, and reporting directly to the APAC CTO.
 
Responsibilities:

• Integrate with the North Asia leadership teams & markets (which include Mainland China, Taiwan, Japan, & Korea), shaping technology strategies and driving performance outcome.
• Oversee the company’s IT and technology systems , operations and customer facing products in collaboration with the COE & Share Service leaders.
• Drive business transformation strategy by providing the best fit technology solution aligned with business and enterprise architecture.
• Drive the implementation of digital, data and automation technology to improve productivity and insight.
• Coordinate with information security and audit teams on security and compliance related projects.
• Consult senior-level stakeholders across functions and practices to identify business needs and optimize the use of technology. Support client pitches and client technology solutions.
• Identify specific needs of Mainland China. Suggest the solution for the issues. Provide direction, guidance, and training to local Technology staff.

 
Requirements:

• Minimum 12+ years of combined working experience in the functions of IT, Software/Product development, Data, Business Analysis, and Digital Transformation.
• Familiar with Media solutions, Ad Tech and MarTech; proven track records in enterprise digitalization, integration and automation. 
• Strong hands-on experience working in Products or IT operations, supervising technology teams, and overseeing large information technology projects.
• Excellent understanding of computer systems, security, network, systems administration, databases, data storage, and telecommunications systems.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with teams across the entire organization. Strong knowledge of project management principles.
• Excellent leadership and decision-making skills.
• Fluent in English and Mandrin Chinese.
• Master/bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
