System Architect

Role Overview
In this position, you will collaborate with various industry partners, including SoC providers, universities, ODMs, and vendors. Your primary responsibilities will include:

Key Responsibilities:

• Driving innovation in future TV system architectures through collaboration with Product Management, technical teams, and external vendors.
• Engaging with SoC and component vendors to understand and influence their technology roadmaps.
• Conducting performance profiling of SoC IP blocks in partnership with SoC providers.
• Developing and managing an innovation roadmap to differentiate the OS through strategic hardware selection for devices.
• Collaborating with internal engineering teams to identify opportunities for unique user experiences and define required hardware functionalities.
• Designing and prototyping hardware and software Proof of Concepts.
• Staying updated on emerging technologies and market trends.
• Participating in standards bodies to influence the development of new industry standards.
• Resolving complex technical challenges impacting end-users.

Required Qualifications:

• Experience: Over 10 years in TV engineering, including leadership roles.
• Technical Expertise:
  • Proven track record in system architecture for consumer products.
  • Hands-on experience with SoC architecture, picture quality, video processing, display technology, and/or audio processing.
  • Comprehensive understanding of hardware and manufacturing processes.
  • Proficiency in Linux, open-source tools, and SoC development.
• Skills:
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to tailor presentations for diverse audiences.
  • Fluency in English and Mandarin.
• Networking: Extensive connections with technology partners, industry experts, and universities in relevant fields.
• Cost Analysis: Strong understanding of TV component cost structures and emerging cost-reduction technologies.
• Education: Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering field.
