Main Goals and Objectives
Provide homologation services for vehicles, parts, and accessories to ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Proactively manage vehicle registration processes to meet sales targets and ensure timely availability of products for market launch.
Key Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for homologation processes, providing both functional and disciplinary leadership to ensure all requirements are met and actions are implemented in coordination with relevant brands.
- Operate within the allocated budget of the Pre-Sales Operations department, ensuring compliance with VGT and OEM policies while managing costs efficiently.
- Drive and implement internal process improvements to ensure synergy across the group, optimizing workflows and maintaining the quality of homologation services provided.
- Organize and manage the type approval process for vehicles and parts, ensuring all necessary steps are followed for regulatory compliance.
- Oversee the management of type-approved vehicles, ensuring they are compliant with all necessary standards.
- Coordinate and prepare for testing activities, ensuring all necessary tests are conducted and that preparations are thorough.
- Provide regular, proactive communication and updates to the PSO team and brands, ensuring transparency and alignment on key information and progress.
- Represent VGT’s homologation interests in both internal and external meetings, acting as a key point of contact for related stakeholders.
- Manage Conformity of Production testing and ensure tests are conducted in accordance with Taiwan’s regulations and standards to facilitate vehicle registration.
- Perform specific task-related duties, drawing on the knowledge and experience required for the role.
- Provide guidance and advice to colleagues within VGT and partner organizations, offering expertise when necessary and in collaboration with relevant responsible parties.
Work Experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience in automotive homologation
- Preferably experience working with at least one luxury brand
Knowledge, Skills, and Other Requirements
- Strong people management and leadership abilities
- In-depth knowledge of homologation processes and technical requirements
- Solid understanding of industry processes and standards
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
- Highly self-motivated with exceptional organizational skills
