We’re seeking an experienced and visionary Vice President, Global Head of Quality & Reliability for a leading semiconductor company to lead and drive the development and execution of quality and reliability strategies and activities. This key leadership role will be responsible for ensuring the company’s products consistently meet or exceed customer requirements and industry standards. Prior working experience with IC design and/or design quality engineering will be an advantage.
Major Responsibilities:
• Oversee the development of cutting-edge quality management systems, foster a culture of continuous improvement, and work cross-functionally to deliver world-class semiconductor products. Develop and implement the overall quality and reliability strategy for the organization, aligning with business objectives and long-term goals.
• Lead the company’s Quality & Reliability Division that includes the functions of Quality Assurance, Quality System, Design Quality Engineering, Quality Reliability & Testing / QRE, Supplier Quality Management and Customer Quality Service.
• Develop design quality review milestones and criteria with various design & test/validation teams to ensure design quality meets clients’ requirements, setting clear goals and expectations, and creating a high-performance culture.
• Establish and continuously improve comprehensive Quality Management Systems (QMS), including process validation, design verification, and product lifecycle management. Ensure adherence to global quality standards and industry certifications such as ISO 9001, ISO/TS 16949, and others relevant to the semiconductor industry.
• Collaborate with the Product Development team to ensure design-for-quality and design-for-reliability principles are incorporated early in the product development lifecycle. Act as a key point of contact for customers on all matters related to product quality, reliability, and failure analysis.
Qualifications:
• 20~30 combined years of experience in the functions of Quality Assurance, Product Design, Quality Engineering, Reliabilities & Failure Analysis, Supplier Quality and Customer Quality management in the Semiconductor industry.
• Deep knowledge of semiconductor IC product development, manufacturing processes, and quality control methodologies. Extensive experience with industry standards and certifications (ISO 9001, IATF 16949, JEDEC, etc.).
•10+ years in managerial/leadership roles, managing and supervising multiple quality teams across Design Quality Assurance (DQA), Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA), Customer Quality Assurance (CQS), Reliability & Testing, Quality Management Systems (QMS).
• Proven track record of driving product quality and reliability improvements at scale in a fast-paced, high-tech environment. Expertise in reliability testing, failure analysis, and root cause investigation techniques (e.g., FMEA, RCA, etc.).
• Rich experience of handling internal, external and customer quality audit. Ability to coordinate and lead teams to solve quality problems and meet customer requirements and satisfaction.
• Track records of developing Quality Assurance team/staff, building the right quality mindset, and promoting quality assurance awareness to the organization.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and manage diverse teams. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interface with senior leadership, customers, and external stakeholders.
• Full proficiency in English and Mandarin Chinese.
