A reputable financial institution is seeking a Governance & Corporate Counsel F/M to join their team.
This role will primarily focus on corporate governance matters, with an emphasis on corporate secretary responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the key point of contact for all corporate governance matters, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on corporate secretarial functions, including board meetings, resolutions, and minutes preparation.
- Manage corporate governance documentation, including charters, policies, and procedures.
- Support the Board of Directors and executive management in fulfilling their legal and regulatory obligations.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to streamline corporate governance processes and enhance efficiency.
- Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends impacting corporate governance practices.
- Assist in the development and implementation of governance-related training programs for employees.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate governance and corporate secretary functions.
- Strong knowledge of corporate law, governance principles, and regulatory requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Law
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a dynamic environment.
