Formulation Development Senior Scientist

We are seeking a talented Formulation Development Scientist to join our client’s innovative team! In this exciting role, you will be responsible for developing cutting-edge sustained release drug products using your expertise in formulation science.
Responsibilities:

• Formulate a variety of sustained release dosage forms including solutions, suspensions, micro- or nanoparticles, and implantable products
• Prepare and characterize test articles to support our in-house research and collaborative programs
• Plan and conduct laboratory experiments to develop and optimize formulations and manufacturing processes
• Generate and test formulations to support biological evaluation (in vitro and in vivo) of prototype and optimized formulations
• Document lab experiments, analyze data, interpret results, and author technical reports
• Stay up-to-date on the latest scientific advancements in drug delivery and development

• Ph.D degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemical, or a related field and hands-on 2+ years experience with formulation development of sustained release dosage forms.
• Skilled in formulation development and analytical chemistry, with expertise in HPLC, dissolution apparatus, and tools for sustained release dosage forms.
• Knowledge of controlled release dosage forms, solution kinetics, and pharmacokinetics is an advantage.
• Comprehensive understanding of FDA regulatory requirements for drug product development, with the ability to seek internal and external guidance when necessary.
• Adaptable and diligent, capable of managing multiple complex projects simultaneously and working under pressure to meet development timelines.
• Exceptional planning, time management, decision-making, presentation, and organizational skills.
