We are recruiting on behalf of a top Hospitality group, owning & operating a wide portfolio of assets  : Hotels, F&B (Restaurants, Bars), Meetings, Events & Conference center as well as Entertainment for a Managing Director.  Openings and assets renovation are in the pipeline. 
The role is based in Geneva and requires a good understanding of the local market. 

Job Summary

The Managing Director is the strategic business leader of all operations and is responsible for the day-to-day operation, oversight and management of the Group.
The MD ensures that daily operations of all entities deliver the highest degree of guest satisfaction possible while always striving to exceed guest expectations.
As the team leader, the MD sees the development and growth of the team as key and most critical to the success of our mission on growing revenues and maximizes financial performance.
Reporting directly to the owners , the MD will design and execute strategies that deliver products and services to meet and exceed the needs and expectations of the brand’s target customer as well as employees.
The MD works hand in hand with department leaders to develop and implement the operations strategy that will ensure the company’s strategies and brand initiatives are implemented. 

 

Core Responsibilities 

  • Managing Profitability and Departmental Budgets
  • Managing Group Operations
  • Managing and Conducting Human Resources Activities
  • Managing key relationships (Owners, Board, Local community / Stakeholders / Key partners) 
  • Managing opening / renovation of assets 

 

 Candidate Profile 

  • Degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or related field preferred
  • 15+ years’ progressive experience in Hospitality operations management (F&B, Hotels, Events, MICE)
  • A background in managing large F&B operations, especially in the meetings / conference and events industry
  • An expertise in asset renovation / rebranding / repositionning as well as market openings

  • Communication - Conveying information and ideas to others in a convincing and engaging manner through a variety of methods.
  • Adaptability - Maintaining performance level under pressure or when experiencing changes or challenges.
  • Planning and Organizing - Gathering information and resources required to set a plan of action for self and/or others that prioritizes efforts to accomplish large and time sensitive goals first

  • Building and Contributing to Teams - Leading and participating as a member of a team to move toward the completion of common goals while fostering cohesion and collaboration among team members.
  • Customer Relationships - Developing and sustaining relationships based on achieving the best guest experience possible for each guest through an understanding of customer needs and proactive service actions. 
  • Business Acumen - Understanding and utilizing business information to manage everyday operations and generate innovative solutions to approach business and administrative challenges. 

The position is based in Geneva and requires a high level of commitment in terms of flexibility & working hours
