(Senior) System and Software Test Engineer (m/f/d)

Together with our partner, Northrop Grumman Sperry Marine B.V., we are currently looking for a (Senior) System and Software Test Engineer (m/f/d) for the office in Hamburg. Being one of the leading manufacturers of state-of-the-art navigation, radar and controls systems, Sperry Marine offers everything container and cruise ships, for example, need to navigate safely from one port to another.

Your tasks:

• You are responsible for developing and carrying the testing of complex systems that include software and hardware (e.g. compass systems, navigation radars) as well as for designing the test environments needed in the laboratory
• You continuously review and optimize the testability and acceptance criteria and take over the creation of test plans and test cases
• You develop new test tools with python and fix errors you have found in the software and hardware in close cooperation with software development
• You ensure complete documentation in Polarion and support project planning with Jira and the preparation of cost estimates

 
Your Profile:

• You completed a degree in the field of electrical engineering or comparable training with additional qualifications
• You have extensive practical experience in hardware and software testing and are ideally a certified tester ISTQB Foundation Level
• You comprehensive Know-How of Test Management and Issue Tracking Tools as well as knowledge of programming with Python
• You communicate very good in Englisch and have good knowledge of German and preferably already worked in a  safety critical or regulated industry
