Together with our partner company, a leading full-service freight car lessor serving over 20 European countries, we are looking for an IT Infrastructure Manager (m/f/d) for the Hamburg or Vienna location.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop a comprehensive IT infrastructure strategy aligned with business goals, integrating proactive capacity planning and scalability solutions
• Lead and empower an IT team comprising system administrators, network engineers, fostering a collaborative, skill-enhancing work environment
• Oversee and maintain the company's IT infrastructure, encompassing servers, networks, data centers, storage systems, and cloud services
• Develop and maintain plans to minimize downtime, safeguard data, and ensure infrastructure reliability; regularly test and update for readiness to meet business requirements
• Protect company data and infrastructure from cyber threats by staying current with industry best practices to ensure ongoing security and compliance
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams as well as external vendors and service providers, including contract negotiations to optimize service levels and costs
Requirements:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Proven professional experience spanning three to five years in IT infrastructure management with expertise in the Cisco environment, ideally holding certifications such as CCNA
• Proficient in various networking, virtualization, and security tools
• Strong knowledge of requirements engineering and exceptional communication skills, facilitating effective collaboration between IT teams and business departments; demonstrated experience in project or team management is a plus
• Fluent in both English and German languages
