CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

Iberia subsidiary of a multinational B2B2C company / worldwide presence.  With more than 1000 employees, the Spanish organization holds a leading position in its retail market.  
 
Reporting to the Managing Director Iberia, his/her main aim will be to support the achievement of their ambitious objectives and strategy in Iberia leading the Finance function in Spanish and Portuguese subsidiary. This person will also serve as the key interlocutor and collaborator with the European Finance Director.
 
The role will enable the organization to grow and progress the business/ financial performance through outstanding leadership of the Finance function, indirectly driving and facilitating an outstanding People, Customer and Society driven organization.
 
Main Responsibilities:
 
Deliver the growth and profitability objectives of Spanish and Portuguese Business Units.

• Support the management team in making and implementing appropriate strategic choices to deliver the profitable growth for the business by driving the financial opportunity agenda as well as leading selective strategic projects as appropriate.

Lead the BU’s Finance function:

• Develop and maintain an appropriate financial control environment
• Ensure appropriate capability and performance of finance personnel, supporting them coaching them, providing development opportunities.
• Ensuring business compliance with the statutory and tax requirements of operating in Iberia.
• Deliver high quality financial analysis and support
• Support in the development of business cases, including M&A
• Key liaison with Headquarter, focusing on financial stakeholders, including the implementation of financial process standardization as part of the global transformation. 

Lead support functions servicing the business

• Provision of support services to retailers as well as the support centre.
• Oversee the Legal function

Contribute to the overall leadership of Executive Teams:

• Supporting and challenging senior management colleagues
• Leading budgeting, rolling forecasts and planning processes
• Building great relationships internally and externally

Profile:
 

• We are looking for a person who regards leadership as their primary role and who has strong Financial insight and Change Management. A demonstrable track record of  Experience operating at a senior level in multinational service oriented organizations, broad knowledge of all accounting, financial and business principles, provision of business decision support/ business intelligence. 
• Fully developed business experience leading international environments.

 
Requirements:
 

• University Degree, ideally complemented Master or post-graduated in Finance.  Fluent in Spanish & English. 
• Minimum of 10 years experience leading finance transformation projects in international environments: Change Management and business development as Finance Director or Finance Business Partner.  Experience in a retail business and in a matrix organization will be a plus.
