Our client is looking for an Accountant and process owner for its new International Financial Hub in Barcelona that provides service to non-German speaking countries for the Group. The mission is to provide administrative, accounting and other transversal services to the different companies in Europe. They believe in a diverse workforce and that is why today they are almost 250 employees from 30 different nationalities, speaking more than 20 different languages.
TASKS
- International responsibility for all transactional closing and treasury processes as well as asset accounting processes.
- Leading the centralization of the accounting processes from the different countries to our Shared Service Centers in Barcelona & Germany.
- Document and review current processes in the company to identify improvement areas.
- Coordinate projects to standardize processes across the countries and identify best practices.
- Supporting and guiding our Shared Service Centers during the onboarding of new tasks.
- Define new standard policies across the organization.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in R2R and good knowledge of General Accounting processes.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance or similar.
- Fluent written and spoken English skills.
- Fluent written and spoken German skills.
- Experience in handling projects.
- Strong communicator with a high level of empathy.
- High analytical and also pragmatic way of working.
