Investment Associate (Private Market Background)

Job Description:

• Conduct deep-dive market and industry research to identify potential investment opportunities
• Perform fundamental analysis required including sector dynamics, competitive landscape, value chain dynamics, financial modeling, valuation analysis to review investment opportunities
• Prepare investment memoranda to support investment recommendations
• Participate in due diligence and execution efforts, including reviewing legal documents, deal structuring and negotiations
• Monitor portfolio companies and engage in value-add initiatives

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, science, engineering or technology from reputable universities
• Solid experience in fundamental research in hedge funds (eg. wellington, T.Rowe Price, Fidelity, FMR) or equity research from prominent investment banks
• Strong intellectual and technical rigor, with solid training in fundamental analysis, financial modeling and valuation techniques
• Strong communication skills and ability to articulate and defend investment thesis
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in both English and Chinese
