APAC Technical Service Director, Pharma Manufacturing (open to relocation)

Our client is an Asia-based integrated pharmaceutical business, with strong presence regionally and globally. With their manufacturing operations based in Asia, they are currently seeking for a Technical Service Director to oversees APAC technical activities surrounding CMO partnerships and Tech Transfer projects.

Job Requirements:

• Lead a team of 30-40 people in APAC, reporting to the VP of Operations & Supply Chain
• Lead technical service activities across the APAC region, encompassing CMO evaluation, technology transfer both in and out, and coordination between CMOs
• Lead and manage TS team management in the region, overseeing secondary source evaluation and qualification, process validation, scale-up, and projects for process and quality enhancements.
• Provide oversight on R&D projects, evaluating feasibility pre-GMP implementation.
• Manage technical transfers, acting as the receiving site for handover of products from R&D and external entities to the operational team.
• Develop and maintain SOPs for equipment qualification, process validation, cleaning validation, and related procedures to ensure compliance with GMP standards of various authorities including US, EU, JP, TW, and others.

Qualifications: 

• Minimum 15+ years of working experience in technical services in pharma and API setting
• Prior management experience in leading a sizeable team across multiple functions
• Familiar with concepts and projects related to CMO evaluations, technology transfer, CMO partnerships & collaborations
• Proficiency in written and spoken English is required, with additional proficiency in secondary languages being advantageous
