Job Summary

Ensures market access excellence by striving at the optimal pricing and timing in collaboration with the relevant departments and global/regional access and pricing team. Explore and identifies key stakeholders in-market and establishes relationships with key influencers and decision makers to facilitate broader and deeper market access for Company’s pipeline and to expand patient access for existing products, in coordination with cross functional teams. Has a deep understanding of Taiwan political environment and healthcare structure and an expertise especially in the area of market access and is able to contribute to its regulatory and policy environment and market access process and delivers a government policy in the different key therapeutic area. Some of the key deliverables will include:
 
  • Access: Gain & maintain access and favorable reimbursement for inline products and develop effective access strategies for pipeline products to support the company’s future success.
  • Evidence: Develop and execute clinical, health economic and real-world evidence generation strategies to demonstrate the value Company brings to patients, HCPs, and health systems.
  • Pricing & Contracting: Partner with the business to develop & execute pricing and contracting strategies to deliver value to patients, the health system, and Company.
  • Policy, Govt. Affairs & Advocacy: Leverage healthcare policy, government relations, and stakeholder engagement strategies to shape our environment in Taiwan, building Company’s reputation as a credible, science-based organization that makes meaningful contributions to patients, HCPs, health systems and society.
  • Collaboration: Partner effectively with commercial, medical, finance, regional and global colleagues to support Company’s business and Mission to serve patients.
 
Main Responsibilities:
  •  Develop strategic pricing and reimbursement for existing and oncoming Company products and collaborate with global, regional value access and policy and Taiwan country brand teams to develop reimbursement dossier, pharmacoeconomic study, budget impact analysis and stakeholder engagement plan.
  • Identify and feedback market environment change to drive proactive strategies and work closely with marketing, sales, medical and finance to formulate pricing and reimbursement through planning new products.
  • Develop annual strategic plans and projects that support the value proposition, marketing, and market access in Taiwan.
  • Lead and/or provide inputs to the pre & post-market JAPAC HEOR studies and projects, including clinical and economic outcomes research, patient reported outcomes, health economics modelling (budget impact and cost effectiveness) & literature searches.
  • Develop and manage long-term working relationships with industry, medical societies, government, and academics; especially dedicate to policy advocacy.
  • Implement external stakeholder engagement through scientific engagement plan for market access success.
  • Familiar with health policy issues and participant industry meeting to maximize company business.
  • Develop and deliver Taiwan data and evidence leading to value propositions to support Company Taiwan business.
  • Develop and lead Public Private Partnership program to unlock value for the healthcare system and for patients.
  • Manage budget and other relevant resources and timelines on the HEOR and Access projects, Track, communicate, and produce deliverables as planned to relevant contacts externally and internally.
 

Requirements

  • Master’s degree with minimum 3 years of experience in pharmaceutical/biotech industry (at least 2 years’ experience of market access, medical or marketing)
  • Knowledge in Taiwan healthcare system and national reimbursement environment; strong experience in government advocacy is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and technical skills
  • Ability to conduct situation analysis of external pricing and reimbursement environment and synthesize relevant information to develop strategic plans.
  • Ability to develop and test value messages and value evidence with payers to determine the most compelling way in which to demonstrate and communicate product value to payers.
  • Ability to translate complex situation and pricing analyses to effectively communicate impact to Company business.
  • Ability to review clinical and health economic literature, including disease state information, clinical trial design and results, and pharmacoeconomic studies, in order to understand implications for value to payers.
  • Demonstrated ability to bring structure to vaguely defined problems, pragmatically scope problem solving approach, and manage execution.
  • Anticipates future industry trends and opportunities, proactively develops plans to address these and communicates them to senior management.
  • Excellent oral/written communications skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluent English
