Senior Backend Engineer (A global leading software company)

Responsibilities

• Engage in the secure software development life cycle (SDLC) process and contribute to software development projects
• Perform application development tasks including design, coding, unit testing, and integration testing
• Create, develop, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support a secure software development life cycle
• Automate and optimize operational processes
• Enhance system and infrastructure performance
• Handle various ad-hoc duties as needed
• Analyze bug reports and manage the defect resolution process, including issue disposition, resolution, and status reporting
• Collaborate with global teams, utilizing strong communication skills to provide support and information
• Conduct regular code reviews to ensure high-quality design and implementation

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
• Over 6 years of hands-on experience in back-end software development
• Excellent problem-solving skills and proactive in addressing issues
• Extensive experience with Java (Spring Boot framework), Node.js, Python, RDBMS, and Redis
• Practical experience with microservices, APIs, Kubernetes, and AWS cloud technologies
• Ability to listen and incorporate the best ideas from across the organization while setting a vision that others are motivated to follow
• Preference for simple and scalable solutions and designs over complex ones
• Ability to excel in a collaborative environment with diverse stakeholders and subject matter experts

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS
• Experience with DevOps/IaC tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, Kubernetes, ELK, Terraform, and Ansible
• Familiarity with test automation tools like JUnit, JMeter, and Postman
• Understanding of Security SDLC, including the use of SAST, SCA, and DAST tools, is advantageous
• Knowledge of cryptography, security, and HSM is highly beneficial
• Strong communication skills in both written and spoken English and Chinese
