Responsibilities
- Generate experimental data to support cell and tissue assays for early validation of drug discovery candidates.
- Drive innovation by developing and executing primary cell and tissue culture and phenotyping assays.
- Lead the design and execution of experimental plans, actively participating in the cell and tissue culture workflows.
- Actively collaborate and communicate with other members of Bio teams across all different countries. Record experiments according to maintain full traceability of all reagents and samples.
- Support junior scientists in the lab.
- Proactively contribute to the smooth running of the laboratory, including managing external suppliers and collaborators.
- Compile data decks on experiments, present data and conclusions to wider teams
- Qualifications include a PhD in a biological science or an MSc with equivalent industry experience, with a proven track record of scientific contributions such as peer-reviewed first-author publications, patent applications, and presentations at major conferences.
- Possess strong expertise in lab-based assays (qPCR, western blots, immunofluorescence, cell-based assays, flow cytometry) and experience with cellular models using sterile techniques.
- Comfortable with omics technologies (proteomics, metabolomics, transcriptomics) and adept at highly organized and methodical work, maintaining meticulous records. Demonstrates self-motivation and technical competence, capable of independent work within a laboratory setting, while also collaborating effectively within teams under tight deadlines.
- Proactive in issue identification and resolution with exceptional attention to detail and excellent interpersonal skills.
