Job Responsibilities:
- Guide the team in designing and re-architecting complex systems, prioritizing high performance, availability, and security.
- Supervise and mentor engineering teams, support their professional growth, and cultivate a collaborative and high-performance work culture.
- Collaborate on the development of key features, providing technical guidance to ensure the delivery of high-quality code.
- Serve as the go-to person for resolving complex technical issues, oversee code reviews, and enforce adherence to best practices and code quality standards.
- Drive performance optimization efforts, including performance tuning, database optimization, and advanced caching strategies, to enhance system performance.
- Participate in strategic discussions regarding business and product strategies, offering valuable technical insights and recommendations to align technology with organizational objectives.
- Proven experience of at least 6 years in hands-on software engineering, with significant experience in developing large-scale web services using Node.js, Python, Java, or Golang.
- At least 2 years in a leadership role, with a focus on managing and mentoring engineering teams, guiding their growth, and fostering a collaborative and high-performance work culture.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a history of effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to shape and drive technical strategy, aligning it with business objectives, and contributing to product and architectural decisions.
- Experience in complex system architectural design and restructuring, ensuring robustness, scalability, security, and high performance.
- Proficiency in container technologies, including but not limited to Docker, AWS EKS, AWS ECS, or GKE. Experience with core services in AWS or GCP, and leveraging these services to meet architectural and business objectives.
