Travel Retail Americas Director | Fragrances
LUXURY BRAND  New York, New York, United States (On-site)
The Travel Retail Director - Americas will be responsible for developing and executing the strategic vision for our travel retail operations across the Americas region. This role requires a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of the travel retail industry, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record of driving business results.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement the overall strategic plan for the Americas travel retail business, in alignment with the company's global objectives and regional market dynamics.
  • Lead and manage a high-performing team of sales, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Drive revenue growth and profitability by identifying new business opportunities, expanding our presence in key travel retail channels, and maximizing sales performance across high end categories.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including airport authorities, cruise line operators, duty-free operators, and brand partners, to ensure alignment and support for our business objectives.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and consumer insights to inform and support strategic decision-making including product offerings, marketing strategies and customer experiences.
  • Oversee the development and execution of annual plans, budgets, and forecasts, ensuring efficient resource allocation and financial performance targets are met or exceeded.
  • Serve as a brand ambassador for in the travel retail community, representing our values, culture, and commitment to excellence at industry events, conferences.
Sales/Client Management:
  •  Achieve sales targets (Sell-in and sell-out) working closely with operators.
  • Develop and maintain clients relationships - Day to day operational communication, meetings with clients / stores / staff
  • Inter-department collaboration (logistics, finance) on revenues/orders management
  • Sell-in / Sell-out management: assortment, inventory/stock monitoring by door
  • Monitor investment and profitability by account in alignment with company targets & budgets
  • Manage contracts negotiations/renewals by client in collaboration.
  • Identify new opportunities to grow retail sales and improve brand images
 Key Competencies:
  • Deep understanding of the travel retail landscape in the Americas region, including market dynamics, competitive landscape, and regulatory environment.
  • 8+ years’ sales experience in Perfume, Beauty industry in Travel Retail environment.
  • Ability to multi-task, work independently and to react quickly with strong sense of urgency
  • Strong ability to take initiative and ownership of projects, experience managing transformational business.
  • Ability to motivate others
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and solution-oriented
  • Excellent Computer Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong strategic planning and execution skills, with the ability to translate vision and objectives into actionable plans and measurable outcomes.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Highly analytical and data-driven approach to decision-making, with proficiency in financial analysis, budget management, and performance metrics.
Key Requirements:
  • Spanish preferred.
  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university
  • Ability to travel frequently within the Americas region and internationally, as required.
