IT Head

Position Overview: As the IT Head, you will be responsible for leading and managing the IT department, including overseeing the implementation and optimization of SAP systems, specifically tailored to the pharmaceutical industry. You will manage a team of 10 or more IT professionals and ensure that all IT systems and infrastructure are operating efficiently. Your role will be crucial in supporting the company’s digital transformation and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Planning and Execution:

   • Develop and implement IT strategies and long-term plans aligned with business goals and the pharmaceutical industry’s requirements.
   • Evaluate and integrate new technologies and tools to enhance operational efficiency and competitive advantage.

2. Team Management:

   • Lead and manage the IT team, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluation.
   • Provide guidance and motivation to team members to ensure a productive work environment and professional growth.

3. SAP System Implementation and Management:

   • Oversee the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of SAP systems tailored to the pharmaceutical sector.
   • Collaborate with internal and external SAP consultants to address system issues and provide technical support.

4. System and Infrastructure Management:

   • Supervise the operation of IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, and network systems, ensuring reliability, security, and performance.
   • Ensure that IT systems comply with industry-specific regulations and standards, such as FDA requirements for data integrity.

5. Budget Management:

   • Prepare and manage the IT budget, ensuring effective use of resources and cost control.
   • Assess the return on investment for technology initiatives and recommend resource allocation strategies.

6. Cross-Departmental Collaboration:

   • Work closely with various business units to understand their needs and provide appropriate technology solutions.
   • Ensure that IT projects align with business strategies and regulatory requirements.

7. Risk Management and Compliance:

   • Ensure IT systems adhere to relevant laws, regulations, and company policies, particularly those related to the pharmaceutical industry.
   • Develop and implement disaster recovery plans, managing and mitigating IT-related risks.

Qualifications:

1. Education and Professional Credentials:

   • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
   • Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CISSP, PMP) are preferred.

2. Experience:

   • At least 10 years of experience in the IT industry, with a minimum of 5 years in a managerial role.
   • Extensive experience with SAP system implementation and management, particularly within the pharmaceutical industry.

3. Skills and Competencies:

   • Strong leadership and team management skills, capable of working under pressure and delivering results.
   • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a track record of handling complex technical challenges.
   • Effective communication skills, with the ability to interact with management at all levels and external partners.
   • In-depth knowledge of IT infrastructure, system architecture, and IT security, with expertise in pharmaceutical industry compliance and regulations.
