Sales Director, Europe Region (Expat Program)

“Chinese Speaking Required” - We’re looking for an experienced Sales Director, Europe Region for a consumer electronics and home appliances brand. The ideal candidate must have 10+ years industry relevant experience; able to base in or relocate to Amsterdam and work closely with the other functional teams in Asia (using Mandarin Chinese).   
 
Responsibilities:

• Manage the branded business in the European region (100+ staff) and be responsible for its Profit & Loss and maximizing the productivity
• Define commercial and organizational strategies to achieve the targets. Actively seeks optimization in structures, processes, and resources.
• Work closely with the other functional teams in Taipei (Head Office) and the local markets; point of contact for business reviews.
• Manage the commercial functions (including Sales, Business Management, and Trade Marketing teams) in the assigned countries to maximize the revenues and profits. Ensure the right people are in place.
• Prepare and execute annual plans and strategies, including financial plans, business and product development goals, market share goals.  
• Market research and competitor analysis. 
• Develop strong and long-term relationships with the customers in the region.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience in senior management role with multi-national / multi-functional experience, General Management and Sales Director experience.
• Preferred industries: Consumer Electronics, Home Appliances, Computer Hardware
• Fluency in Chinese and English. International experience, culturally sensitive.
• Develop people. Leadership skills and people manager – also recognized externally.
• Strong financial and logistical understanding, legal awareness.
• Networker and team player. Excellent negotiation skills; strong communicator.
• Master in Business Administration/Marketing or has reached this level through another form of training or experience.
