Sr. Director, Manufacturing Operations ASIA

We’re looking for a seasoned Director, Manufacturing Operations Asia, for a big EMS company. This regional role will oversee the manufacturing operations in Asia, taking full responsibility of operations P&L, driving LEAN manufacturing, optimizing efficiency, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction are met.  
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the functional leaders in Asia (namely Taiwan, Singapore, Mainland China, Vietnam, India), providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure the achievement of operational goals and objectives.
• Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize manufacturing operations, improve efficiency, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Drive Lean Manufacturing principles and methodologies throughout the organization, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and waste reduction.
• Manage the overall site operations, including production planning, capacity utilization, resource allocation, and cost control.
• Oversee all aspects of quality assurance, ensuring compliance with industry standards, customer requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
• Assume P&L responsibility for the manufacturing operations, monitoring financial performance, and implementing strategies to achieve profitability targets.
• Supervise the leaders of Engineering, Supply Chain, and Sales/Order Fulfillment to ensure seamless coordination and alignment of operational activities.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and regulatory authorities. Drive a culture of safety, ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and promoting a safe working environment.

 
Desired Profile:

• 15+ years of experience in electronics EMS/OEM/ODM business, with demonstrated track records of successfully managing multiple sites, large-scale manufacturing operations (>5000 DLs) in Asian countries.
• Experience of managing multi-national, multi-cultural teams.
• Proven abilities to drive operational excellence, optimize efficiency, and implement continuous improvement initiatives. Deep and broad knowledge of industry best practices, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Exceptional leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve high performance.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Fluency in both English and Mandarin Chinese.
• Results driven. Ability to enhance manufacturing performance and deliver business KPIs. Strong leadership track record in a matrix organization.
• Educational background from Engineering related studies will be a plus.
