Vice President, Head of Server & Datacenter

A confidential search for a large group of Tech company with billions of dollars annual turnover. R&D/Technical background is required.
 
This role will lead and own the company’s server & data center solutions business unit, managing multi-functional teams of the organization across R&D/Engineering, Sales, PM, Supply chain, etc. (starting from 200 employees) and take a full P&L responsibility. Solid knowledge and design/engineering experience with Server products is a must. 
 
Responsibilities:

• Rebuild and strengthen the company’s Server & Data Center Solutions organization, products, R&D/Engineering capacities.
• Define the business & product goals and strategies to align with market trends and customers' needs. Outline the key milestones to establish the organization’s core competences and competitive solutions for Data Center Solutions.
• Provide technical and managerial leadership to the organization, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
• Establish competitive supply chain to stay competitive.
• Lead the strategic design and development of Server architectures that meet the performance, scalability, reliability requirements of the company’s Data Center applications, and co-optimization with the device technology.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to product designs and implementation.

 
Requirements:

• 15-25 years of working experience with Server products and Data Center solutions, currently or previous holding a title of Business Unit GM/Head, or a Senior Director of R&D/Engineering within a large, globally operated organization.   
• Proven track records of successfully building, rebuilding, or heading a strong, multi-functional organization (either a Business Unit or R&D/Engineering Division) that exceeds the business targets. A leader who can thrive in helping corporate and client succeed.
• Working knowledge with server architecture designs, high-speed data communication, Data Center solutions, and high-performance computing. Understand the market/industry technical trends and competition landscape.
• Ability to identify and define the company’s Data Center Solutions to fulfill the clients’ AI & Machine Learning needs and their implementation with competitive rack server platforms. 
• Good networks/connections with the industry ecosystem: industry leaders/clients and key suppliers among GPUs, TPUs, System Integrators, & AI accelerators.     
• Master or Ph.D. degree in Computer Engineering, Electronics or Electrical Engineering, Data Communication or related engineering studies will be an advantage.
