Job Title: Regional Sales Manager - East China

Location: Shanghai

Reports To: Business Director

Job Summary: The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for overseeing and driving sales activities for coating products within the construction, energy, and petrochemical sectors across the East China region. This role involves leading a team of 10 sales professionals, developing and executing sales strategies, and ensuring the achievement of sales targets. The ideal candidate will be fluent in English, possess excellent leadership skills, and have a strong background in sales within the relevant industries.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Sales Leadership and Management:

    • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 10 sales representatives.
    • Set clear performance expectations and provide regular feedback and coaching.
    • Conduct performance evaluations and implement development plans for team members.
  2. Sales Strategy and Planning:

    • Develop and execute regional sales plans to achieve and exceed sales targets.
    • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.
    • Coordinate with the National Sales Director to align regional sales strategies with national objectives.
  3. Customer Relationship Management:

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients in the construction, energy, and petrochemical sectors.
    • Address and resolve customer issues and complaints promptly and effectively.
    • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  4. Business Development:

    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand market share.
    • Conduct market research to identify potential clients and assess their needs.
    • Develop proposals and negotiate contracts with clients.
  5. Reporting and Analysis:

    • Monitor and report on sales performance, including sales volume, revenue, and profit margins.
    • Provide regular sales forecasts and updates to the National Sales Director.
    • Analyze sales data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  6. Collaboration and Communication:

    • Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing, product development, and customer service, to ensure seamless operations.
    • Communicate effectively with team members and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency.
  7. Compliance and Ethics:

    • Ensure all sales activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards.
    • Promote a culture of integrity and accountability within the sales team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of sales experience preferably in the protective coating business
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluency in English and Mandarin.
  • Ability to travel extensively within the East China region.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
